Bio
Hello! My name is Mrs. Hunter. I graduated from The University of New Mexico and have my Masters Degree in Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies. I have experience teaching all grades in Elementary School. Most of my experience has been in 5th grade and Kindergarten. My philosophy of teaching is to have fun while learning. I believe that learning should be engaging, interactive, hands on and fun! I take the time to get to know student interest and build a meaningful connection so student will want to come back and learn with me.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching for 15 years and am licensed and qualified to teach grades K-8. I have been teaching online for Stride/K12 for the past 7 years. My specialty is in Language Arts. I love helping students in Reading and Writing --Whether it is working on Phonics or Writing essays or anything in between. I have experience teaching English Language Learners as well and have tutored students in ESL who live in China. I have tutored students in Math to help students gain confidence with their math abilities.
