Bio
Hi, My name is JoEllen but my students call me Jo for short. I am a lover of all things math. I love helping students discover that they are "good" at math. I believe everyone can succeed in math and I enjoy seeing progress week to week. I am extremely patient and positive and try to break down complex topics.
Teacher Specialization
I taught high school math for 8 years in NYC and loved it. I am certified to teach math 7-12. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Actuarial Science and a Master's of Math Education (7-12) from New York University. Recently, I have tutored middle school students in private and small group settings.
