Bio
I am a recently retired teacher with over 31 years experience in Boston Public Schools. I have been recognized for "exemplary service" to my students from the mayor and my school. I like bringing humor and real world analogies to my profession as I feel it makes the material more relevant and interesting.
Teacher Specialization
Most of my career I have worked with special needs students in a vocational high school helping them develop the skills, credentials, and knowledge required for success outside of school. I have taught every grade level from 5-12 and have taught History, Culinary Arts, Life Skills, Facilities Management, Reading, Math, and Special Needs. I am licensed in Massachusetts in History/Social Studies, ESL, Hospitality Management, and Special Education. I worked at Madison Park TVHS from 1994 until my retirement this past June.
