Bio
Hello! I'm John Schlaefli. I work well with all types of students and all types of ability levels- my former students would tell you that I'm a pretty easygoing guy who works hard and has a heart for students. I love to read, travel, and watch movies. I have chosen to become a tutor now that I've retired from the classroom, and I would love to continue to use my years of experience to help students on their path to success.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught and tutored high school English for 30 years. My teaching and tutoring experience includes regular English classes (9th-12th) AP Language and Composition, AP Seminar, and SAT Prep. I have also been a scorer both for the SAT Writing exam as well as the AP English exam.
