Bio
Hello! I'm an experienced elementary teacher in person and online. I’m dedicated to helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. My teaching philosophy is centered on creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where questions are encouraged and student lessons are tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style. As I get the know the student, I create lessons tailored to their personalities and interests. My lessons are interactive and colorful. I use games, music and art activities to keep my K-3 grade students engaged in our lessons. Learning is fun!
Teacher Specialization
I have enjoyed 20+ years as an elementary teacher in both brick and mortar and virtual settings. The last 6 years I have taught first and second grade at an online school. I teach Language Arts (Phonics, Reading and Writing), Math, Science and Social Studies. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Language Arts and Elementary Education. I earned a Master's Degree in Reading Education. In 2023, I completed an 18 hour Dyslexia Course through The Ohio Department of Education. I completed a 50 hour Science of Reading course through Keys To Literacy in 2024.
