Bio
Hello, my name is Mr. Eimers. My family and my wife and I currently live in eastern Michigan between Flint and Detroit with our two sons, ages 4 and 10. My foray into education is a complicated one, but it is a journey I have grown immensely thankful for. My teaching philosophy centers on finding a reason for a student to be interested in a topic and then nurturing that interest. I am interested in getting to know my students and understanding what they care about so that I can help them see how the content they are learning connects with things that they are passionate about.
Teacher Specialization
I am currently teaching World History and have taught accelerated classes in the same discipline. I have also taught English 9 Honors classes. I currently hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and am working on completing a PhD. Though my classroom experience is small in comparison to others, my time in academic research and my extensive content knowledge give me a unique edge in presenting the most up-to-date information regarding my content areas.
