Bio
I am a "Relatable Expert" dedicated to bridging the gap between academic research and the classroom. Holding both a B.S.Ed. in education and an M.S.Ed. In Reading, I specialize in transforming complex concepts into accessible, high-impact learning experiences. My mission is to cultivate critical thinkers through inclusive, scaffolded instruction and real-world application. As a Science of Reading (READ Act) Designated educator, I bring advanced expertise in the "Big Five" of literacy—specializing in systematic decoding, linguistic depth, and evidence-based comprehension strategies. Beyond literacy, I am a leader in curriculum innovation and STEM integration, frequently utilizing modern digital tools to prepare students for a global future. Committed to the growth of the profession, I also take great pride in my role as a mentor, guiding pre-service teachers through the nuances of clinical practice. In my classroom, students find a structured, high-energy environment.

My academic background is rooted in education, beginning with a B.S.Ed. in Elementary Education and culminating in a Master’s focused on Reading and Literacy. I bring over three decades of classroom experience to my work, having taught across a wide range of grade levels and instructional settings. My career has been defined by a commitment to diverse learners, including ESOL, Gifted, and ASD students. I’ve had the unique privilege of serving as a Building Resource Teacher, a Classroom Teacher, and a Reading Interventionist—roles that have allowed me to bridge the gap between high-level school strategy and the real-world needs of every student.
