Bio
I am so excited to introduce myself to you. I am an enthusiastic educator that believes everyone can be a math person! I believe that math should be made visual in order to develop deep understanding of concepts. I strive to make math visual for all my students. I think it's important to understand how a student is seeing the math and then tailor my instruction to meet their needs. I am a happy person that always looks for opportunities to bring a smile to others. I live in Texas with my daughters. We enjoy exploring state parks and playing disc golf on the weekends.
Teacher Specialization
I spent 10 years in the classroom teaching 5th, 6th, and 7th grade math and then 7 years working with teachers and students in the role of a math instructional coach. I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics and have a 4-8 Generalist Texas teacher certification.
