Bio
Good Day everyone, I am happy to introduce myself. With over a decade of experience across continents, cultures and classrooms, I bring a globally informed, student-centered approach to education. My teaching journey has taken me from zoos and aquariums in the United States to international schools in Korea and Morocco. My teaching philosophy is the belief that every learner has a unique story to tell and that learning flourishes when students feel seen, safe and supported. I believe in building authentic connections first and teaching content through connection, curiosity and cultural relevance. I strive to create learning environments that are linguistically inclusive and academically rigorous, especially for students navigating multiple languages. My instruction design emphasizes voice, choice and growth mindset.
Teacher Specialization
I specialize in English Language Arts, creative writing, reading intervention and personalized literacy support for multilingual learners and diverse student populations. I work closely with culturally and linguistically diverse students integrating scaffolds and using translanguaging strategies to support fluency, comprehension and confidence. I have developed a book builders workbook to empower students to write, illustrate and publish their own books. I specialize in project based learning and cross-curricular projects that connect reading and writing with history, science and the arts. I have over 9 years experience with online tutoring for all ages and on a variety of platforms. I have a BS degree in Natural Resources and a Masters in Education with focus in multilingual learners. Having taught students across Asia, Europe and North America, I bring a flexible, culturally respectful teaching approach tailored to students' individual needs, time zones and learning goals.
