Bio
Hi! My name is Kaylee Blevins and I'm super excited to be a part of K12 tutoring and working with you! I have two sons, ages 10 & 7, who are full of energy. During our free time we love to play sports and do any and everything outside! One of my big reasons for teaching and tutoring is to make learning enjoyable and to give students that "a-ha" moment when they finally learn something that they have been struggling with. I want learning to be enjoyable (Which, I know, isn't everyone's favorite) but that's why I'm here! My teaching philosophy is built on the conviction that education is the cornerstone of developing young minds and ensuring the success of tomorrow's world. I believe that the most effective learning occurs when it is anchored in genuine human connection, moving beyond simple subject matter to foster a relationship of mutual trust and respect. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you get that lightbulb moment with whatever topic you're here for!
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from Western Carolina University as a Teaching Fellows winner and Honors College graduate. Since then. I have my Bachelor's of Science in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Math & Science. Since graduating from college in 2009 I have also became certified to teach all levels of high school math, as well. I've taught: 7th Grade Math & Science 8th Grade Math & Science 9th Grade Foundations of Math 9th Grade Math 1 (both Honors and Regular) I have been teaching and working with kids virutually ever since it really became a big deal - right when Covid hit. I've been through the trenches of virtual learning from the beginning and have developed my teaching and tutoring skills and capabilities around it for years.
