Bio
Hello! My name is Keely Holmes, and I am very excited to be an online instructor after teaching in public schools for 27 years! I believe all students learn best when they are in a positive environment, given much encouragement, and feel confident in their abilities! I teach using visual, auditory, and hands-on modes of learning and I evaluate performance through observation, student work samples, and foundational standardized assessment norms. My goals as your child's online tutor are to provide a goal-focused, confidence-building learning experience which your child will look forward to coming back to!
Teacher Specialization
My 27 years of teaching experience has included grades K-3, with most of my teaching being in grades 2nd and 3rd, in all subject areas (reading, math, writing, science, and Social Studies). I have my Masters Degree in Elementary Education K-6, and also earned my National Board Teacher Certification in 2006 and in 2016. I am confident in the virtual teaching skills I gained during the time of school closings (2020), as well as my 2 years working as an online English Teacher of Chinese children with the national company, VIPKID Global. I am so excited to share my talents as an online teacher!
