Bio
Hello! My name is Kelsey Bigelow, and I am excited to explore the joys of learning alongside of all students this school year! I’m passionate about helping students feel confident and capable in their learning. I’m excited to work with students in an intentional setting where we can identify their strengths, address areas of need, and build the skills they need to succeed. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every student feels seen, encouraged, and empowered to grow. When I am not teaching, I'm teaching! I love teaching and spending time with my two children who learn from home. Our family enjoys exploring parks, hiking, and taking pictures along the way. A perfect day almost always ends with a stop for ice cream on the way home!
Teacher Specialization
I’m a seasoned educator with 10 years of experience and a degree in special education, including 8 years in person and 2 years teaching online through K12. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students across both elementary and middle school settings in reading and math intervention groups and taught middle school social studies and science in the life skills classroom setting. As a special education teacher, I have taught a wide range of academic, behavioral, social, and executive functioning needs.
