Bio
I am excited to be a tutor and encourage students to work hard and embrace new learning challenges. My husband and I, along with our baby boy, live in central Florida. We are passionate about cooking different meals every day and occasionally traveling to popular restaurants throughout the state. Regarding teaching, there’s so much content that I love to teach. My teaching strategy involves selecting the right tools and materials for students to utilize, thereby helping them better grasp the material. I am a firm believer in the potential of students to succeed when they are given the right support and encouragement. A key part of my teaching approach involves making a genuine effort to understand each student's individual needs, preferences, and learning style. By taking the time to connect with students on a personal level, I strive to foster strong relationships not only between myself and the students, but also between the students and their academic work.
Teacher Specialization
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Florida Atlantic University and certification to teach in Florida schools, I have dedicated my career to art and education, helping students articulate the world around them and express their thoughts creatively. Over the past seven years, I have taught a variety of subjects, including History, Math, Languages, English, and the Sciences. Initially, as substitute teacher, I have engaged with students of all ages, although I particularly enjoy teaching elementary students. My most recent experience includes teaching first grade, where I specialized in helping Spanish-speaking students learn to read and write in English.
