Bio
Hello my name is Kimberly Ford. I have two beautiful daughters and in my free time I am becoming fluent in French, or I enjoy a good book with amazing coffee. I am an energetic, organized, engaging indvidual who enjoys seeing students learn and discover. My teaching philosophy follows the socratic method; I prefer to ask open-ended questions and see where my students can go. I also like to foster critical thinking and discovery through guided learning. I hope to facilitate a love of learning and discovery for all my students.
Teacher Specialization
I have over 10 years of experience. I have taught preschool and kindergarten classes for 6 years, high school special education, in addition to English, and earth science, and 3rd grade english, math, and social studies for 1 year. In addition I have been tutoring remotely since spring of 2020. I have created content classes for ASL sign language and have a Reading Specialization as well as experience with student with multiple disabillites. I also have endorsments for English and the sciences.
