Bio
Hi, I'm Ms. Kaye! I believe students learn best when instruction meets them where they are at and gradually builds toward mastery, so I use a gradual release approach paired with an individualized plan for each learner, guiding students with questions and focusing feedback on effort and process rather than just right answers. I hold a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from California with an emphasis on social-emotional learning, and over my 12 years in education I've taught in a bilingual elementary school in Mexico and worked with students of all ages around the world. I build genuine relationships with my students, checking in on how they're feeling and finding the right balance between challenge and support, always with patience. Outside of tutoring, you'll usually find me doing yoga, hiking, or spending time outdoors, and I'm currently learning Spanish myself, so I understand firsthand what it's like to work through something challenging as a student.
Teacher Specialization
I have over 12 years of experience teaching and tutoring students from kindergarten through high school. From 2022 to 2024, I taught 5th grade at a bilingual elementary school in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and I've also taught English to students of all ages, from children to adults, both in Mexico and online with learners around the world. My tutoring experience spans reading, math, and English language learning across a range of grade levels. I hold a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from the state of California with an emphasis on social-emotional learning.
