Bio
I believe all students learn at their own level. It is important to have different modalities of teaching and learning in order to meet the need of the student. I aim to support the students learning goals by using different strategies and tracking progress. I like to build a positive relationship with the students and their families so they feel comfortable in telling me what they need. I do this by playing ice breakers and other games to learn about the student and family. I knew I wanted to become an educator since I was in Kindergarten. I liked how my teachers made me feel. They wanted me to succeed, and I want my students to succeed so they feel confident and knowledgeable. In my first year of teaching, I taught abroad. I was able to teach various subjects to students who were English Learners. Then I came back to my hometown to teach students from Pre-K to 12th grade. I like meeting new students and learning about them and their culture/family.
Teacher Specialization
As an educator, I spent over 18 years studying how children develop and grow through various experiences and socialization opportunities. I worked with students with many special abilities, including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Speech and Language Impairment, and more. I taught virtually to students of all ages and abilities for a few years. My background includes teaching children of all ages since the beginning of my career. My educational achievements include an Education Specialist Instruction Credential, a Master's Degree in Education (Curriculum & Instruction), a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies, along with other specialized degrees in Early Childhood, Spanish, Child Development, Yoga, Sociology, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
