Bio

Hello! I am so excited to be your tutor. I believe my students learn best when they are in an environment that they are comfortable in. Feedback is an important piece to student being successful in showing growth. I love to give feedback as well as allow students to give feedback as we work through new things together. My goal is to help my students learn and continue to build life long skills to help them become comfortable with learning new skills. It is so important for my students to understand that mistakes are part of learning and that it is okay to not know things or to struggle while learning them as long as they continue to keep trying their best. My hobbies include; sports, watching tv, and spending time with my family. I played college basketball for 1 year before transferring, I am learning Spanish, and I love to sing. I chose the field of education because I wanted to make a difference in young students lives by accepting them as they are!

Teacher Specialization

I have been teaching for 4 years now. I have taught virtually and in a traditional classroom setting. I have experience teaching 4th grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade, although my degree certifies me to teach Pre-K to 5th grade in all subject areas. I received my Bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University in Elementary Education. I am currently completing additional trainings such as; ESOL and LETRS.
