Hello! My name is Mrs. Nelson, and I would love to support you with your academic needs from K-8. I am a highly effective educator with certifications to work with students with language learning needs and special education. I specialize in helping students struggling with reading, math. and writing and have helped students succeed. I believe we are a team with a common goal, and that is your child's success. I believe in creating a comfortable learning environment with open communication. I look forward to working together to create an exceptional learning experience.
Teacher Specialization
I have 21 years of experience as an educator. Over the course of my career, I have been a 2nd-4th grade looping teacher, 6th grade science teacher, 7th grade language arts summer instructor, Director of Elementary Summer Engagement, School Administrator, and District Administrator. My goal has always been to stay connected to the classroom, so I have tutored students in grades K-8 for the past 20 years.
