Bio
My name is Lacee Milliken, and I have been an educator for 18 years. I started my career in a brick and mortar classroom, and the past 13 years have been spent online. I am currently an assistant principal at a K12 school in Ohio. I am passionate about education and believe that all children can and deserve to learn. I desire to make learning fun, instill a love for learning, and show care and concern for the whole child. My philosophy of education is that I am responsible for creating a safe place for all learners and teaching those students the skills to be a lifelong learner while modeling care and respect. I strive to create a classroom where students feel a connection with myself and other students, one that is a safe place to express their thoughts and opinions, and one that recognizes and celebrates diversity.
Teacher Specialization
During my 18 years of education, I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades. I'm currently an assistant principal for my online school. I am trained in Orton Gillingham reading instruction and also have training Fundations. I have experience with varies disabilities through offering individualized instruction and intervention.
