Bio
Hello! My name is Lana Altimari, and I am a dedicated educator and academic tutor with nearly 30 years of experience helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds, providing individualized instruction that supports both academic achievement and personal growth. I chose to become a tutor because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. I enjoy working one-on-one and in small groups because it allows me to tailor instruction to each student's unique learning style, build meaningful relationships, and celebrate individual progress. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student gain confidence, overcome challenges, and discover that they are capable of achieving success.
Teacher Specialization
I have experience providing online instruction and tutoring across a variety of digital learning platforms, creating engaging and interactive lessons. I adapt my teaching strategies to meet each student's individual needs, using screen sharing, digital whiteboards, educational websites, interactive activities, and online assessments. My online teaching experience has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, build positive relationships in a virtual setting, and provide personalized support. I have been working for virtual education experience for 10 years. I was a tutor in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and now in Florida. I have worked online different platforms, including for college educational skills, and SAT Prep. I have worked with students from all grade levels from K-12 teaching Science, Math, Social Studies, and English. My degree is Special Education K-12 and experience with college level. My degree I have both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Education.
