Bio
Hello! My name is Leslye! I speak both English and Spanish fluently. When teaching I like to create an environment that is positive and targets social emotional aspects that could be affecting the students learning. I like to include as many visuals as I can instead of just explaining verbally. Having visuals allows the student to make connections with what I am saying. I also like to be hands on if possible, and if I feel it would benefit the student. I want to see all students grow their confidence in their academics, but also in their social emotional abilities to overcome difficulties. It is important to show all students that everyone makes mistakes, but we learn from those mistakes!
Teacher Specialization
I have my Bachelors Degree in Science, majoring in Elementary Education. I graduated with an ESOL and Reading Endorsement. I have tutored K-5th grade for 2 years in all subjects. I have taught 1st grade math and 3rd grade math, science, and social studies for a year. Having been in the field and working with many students I have gained experience in differentiating each lesson for every student.
