Bio
Hello! My name is Dr. Lisa Edmunds, and I am so excited to be a part of Stride Tutoring! When I am not in school, I enjoy running. I belong to several local running clubs, and have run one full marathon (so far), 13 half marathons, and numerous 5k and 10k races. I also really enjoy traveling and spending time with my friends and family. I have one son, Caleb, who is 23 and attends the University of N. Texas in Denton working towards a Business degree. He is also a very talented musician who plays the piano and saxophone. I believe that ALL students are capable of learning, regardless of of their learning differences. If you are a student who often thinks, "I don't know how to do this," or "I don't understand this," I am here to help you rephrase that thinking to, "I don't know how to do this," or "I don't understand this...yet, but, I will soon!"
Teacher Specialization
This past school year was my 29th year in education. I taught 4th grade ELA and Social Studies for four years. I then went to the middle school level where I taught 6th grade ELA for 13 years, and this year marks my 12th year in school administration where I have experience as a principal and vice principal.
