Bio
Hello there! My name is Lyndsey Steiner, Mrs. Steiner to all of my students. I have been teaching for 10 wonderful years. After teaching classes with nearly 40 students in them, I'm excited to be able to offer 1-1 help. I love teaching and being able to offer different learning styles and techniques. I know that not every student can be reached in a traditional classroom - maybe the teacher didn't explain it how you would need them to, or you missed a few days of school and are having trouble catching up. It is so incredibly difficult as a teacher to be able to make sure 100% of the students master each skill. I'm here to give you the guidance and support to make sure you not only know this stuff, but can feel confident about your knowledge of it.
Teacher Specialization
I started off teaching in elementary schools. I taught First grade for two years, then moved up to Second grade and taught that for four years. My favorite year was when I taught 100% online. Oddly enough, it was the year that I developed the deepest relationships with my students. I loved being able to use all of the tools that technology has to offer, and we had a great time learning together. After six years in the elementary setting, I decided to change things up and move up a few grades to the junior high school. I taught 7th and 8th grade math for four more years. These teenagers kept me young to say the least! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have an endorsement to teach Middle School Mathematics.
