Hi! My name is Lynn and I have been an educator for almost 20 years! I am a member of the National Tutoring Association, and I love to learn new things! I am in the process of becoming a specialist for English as a second language to better help non-native English speakers. Students learn best when they are able to learn new things at a pace that is right for them and I support students by breaking down material into smaller amounts and allowing them to use repetition to fully master new things. My goal is for students to grow academically and to help them master new skills. Through this, they also gain self-confidence and learn that they can be successful even if something is hard at first. I enjoy getting to know my students and learning about their interests and hobbies. Helping students reach the next level in their understanding and seeing them grow their skills is the best part of tutoring!
Teacher Specialization
I have been in virtual education for over 17 years! I have taught elementary and middle school. I also have expertise in MTSS and targeted interventions for struggling students. My teaching certifications include elementary K to 6 for all subjects, middle school English and high school English. In addition, I have my principal certification for school administration, and I have been in school leadership roles including college and career readiness. In addition to academic subjects, I tutor in executive functioning and academic coaching.
