Bio
I am Ms. Conley and I am enthusiastic about tutoring online. I love to use online platforms to reach students who need help in achieving their goals in the classroom. My philosophy is that all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration and enhances student achievement. My goal as a tutor is to help students reach their fullest potential by using a variety of instructional strategies that build confidence, deepen understanding, and ensure each learner feels successful throughout their learning journey. I prioritize building strong relationships with students because connection is essential for meaningful learning. I take time to get to know each student’s interests, likes, and personal goals. By understanding who they are beyond the classroom, I create a learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated. Together, we will accomplish goals that students have set forth while having fun exploring many options to do so.
Teacher Specialization
I am a teacher of 24 years in Elementary Education and a graduate in Educational Administration from Nova Southeastern University (Ed.S). I also received my bachelors in education at Mississippi State & Jackson State University. I also have a masters in instructional technology from American Intercontinental Univ. I am currently a math and science coach in an elementary school. My years of experience are as follows: Kindergarten-4 years, 1st grade - 1 year, 2nd grade - 2 years, 3rd grade - 3 years, 4th grade - 10 years, and 5th grade 1 year. The remainder of my years, I have served as a math and science instructional coach where I work with teachers to provide quality instruction within the classroom. I help promote student achievement through the use of hands-on manipulatives, variety of strategies, and instructional problem solving. During COVID, I taught online for 3 years. I have experience with using online platforms to help keep students engaged in their learning.
