Hello, I am Maria Avila-Carvajal I am a dedicated teacher and I love helping students to succeed and achieve their language learning goals. I am passionate about languages. I speak Spanish and French. I love traveling and getting to know other cultures. I believe that students learn best when their needs and learning styles are met. To grasp difficult concepts I promote interaction, collaboration, and meaningful practice into my lessons. I am committed to students' success by giving constructive feedback and teaching key points in a dynamic and fun way to address misunderstandings. I am dedicated to promoting a positive relationship with all students in a multicultural teaching setting where respect and encouragement are enhanced. Students are welcome to ask questions and to suggest new approaches. I am particularly skilled in integrating technology into tutoring lessons to facilitate language learning. I am very creative in developing engaging language lessons.

I have more than 10 years of experience teaching Spanish, English as a Second Language (ESOL), and French. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages and a Master's in Instructional design in Education. I am skilled at developing interactive and understandable lessons using technology. I am incredibly passionate about languages and their cultural strengths. I am Looking forward to working with you and meeting your tutoring needs in Spanish (all levels), ESOL, and French (1).
