Bio
I am a retired public school teacher and private tutor. I value meeting my students exactly where they are and helping them grow with clarity, structure, and genuine encouragement. My teaching style blends strong academic fundamentals with a calm, student-centered approach. I’ve taught thousands of learners across diverse backgrounds and needs, and I’m especially skilled at helping students build confidence, study habits, and critical-thinking skills. I bring a clear perspective to everything I teach. Students describe me as patient, warm, and caring — someone who listens deeply, explains clearly, and celebrates progress every step of the way.
Teacher Specialization
I have 18 years of classroom experience and 22 years of private tutoring experience - both in person and online. I worked with elementary, middle, and high school students throughout my career. I am a Biology major and Chemistry minor, and have taught every subject at the elementary and middle school level. At the high school level, I taught Math - high school test prep, pre-algebra through Algebra 2, as well as PSAT test prep and college prep classes. I specialize in supporting K–12 students in mostly Math, study skills, and general academic coaching. My experience includes working with bilingual learners, as well as neurodiverse students, and those who need a confidence boost or structured guidance to stay organized.
