Bio
Hello! My name is Mariah, and I love helping students reach their fullest potential as they learn & grow. I engage students through multi-sensory methods of learning, songs, games, etc. Supporting students is a team effort, so I am sure to provide detailed, personalized feedback for each student to facilitate their growth and success. I believe each student has inherit potential to grow and learn. It is important for me to help my students operate from a growth-mindset, knowing they can and will learn and improve. I strive to help my students build confidence, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning. I take time to know what my students are interested in and about their lives so I can create personalized content that is tailored to their specific needs and interests. I live in New England with my husband & 3 young boys who keep me very busy! In my spare time, you can find me cooking, reading, or playing games with my family. I would be honored to work with you!
Teacher Specialization
I have a B.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I am a certified teacher (Pre-K to 6th grade) with 10 years of teaching experience, with a specialization in helping younger students who may struggle in reading and math. I was also an online English tutor and have experience working with English Language Learners.
