Hello friend! My name is Mary and I have been an educator for the past five years. I am positive that you will love my class and will leave it with expectation for the next time we meet. Whatever you are looking for support in, I am here to help you. I will support you through every step of learning. I focus our tutoring session around the gradual release model where I DO, WE DO, YOU DO. I will model a skill, then WE will work on the skill together, and then YOU will do the skill. This helps build confidence and curiosity. We will take the time to build a positive relationship where we find your strengths and discover what learning style is unique to who you are. Teacher Specialization
I have been an elementary educator for the last five years. My focus is on reading development and how to understand challenging concepts when it comes to reading. I have been teaching in a small town where the student to teacher ratio is very small. I give one on one instruction and have helped students develop confidence in the skills they are learning. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I have prior experience teaching virtually to students English as a second language. I now have the privilege and honor to help you learn new skills here at K12.
