Bio
Hi, my name is Megan Higgins and I have been teaching for 18 years. I started in Kindergarten and I am currently working at one of the top 10% charter schools in the US. I have taught K, first, third and ESE inclusion. I am currently the Interventionist for the middle school and high school level. Students learn best through differentiation and this can change during lessons and/or subjects. Students will learn from someone they enjoy can have a positive relationship with. I believe all students can learn and succeed as long as they are given the opportunities and support they need. I want all students to feel successful and gain a love of learning. I hold high expectations to all my students because as long as they put in the effort and I provide the tools/strategies they will be successful. Students will perform their best for someone that they have a positive relationship with. I love watching hockey. I have 2 boys age 15 and 10 and 3 cats and a puppy.

My certificate is in Elementary Education (Prek-3), ESE k-12, ELL K-12 and educational leadership K-12. I have 8 years of tutoring experience and 5 of them online. I was awarded the Teacher of the Year for my school in 2021 and the county I worked in awarded me a paid masters degree for Educational Leadership based on an extensive interviewing process from 350 applicants to only 75 being awarded the scholarship from University of South Florida.
