HI! I'm Mrs. Melanie Hathaway, and I am excited to be your K12 tutor. I am looking forward to a successful year. I am a good tutor because I love to teach. My lessons are educational, creative, and engaging. I believe that communication is the key to a great relationship. Through our strong partnership, we will ensure that your child can reach their full potential.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching elementary, middle, and high school students for 29 years. I hold a bachelor's degree from Edinboro University in elementary and early childhood education, a master's degree from Duquesne University in Instructional technology, and a special education certification from Slippery Rock University. My tutoring specialty is reading and writing. I enjoy working on reading skills, comprehension, and writing, TDA's, and college essays.
