Bio
I believe every child deserves someone who sees their potential, even when they can’t see it themselves. My tutoring approach is rooted in patience, encouragement, and the belief that learning should be both accessible and meaningful. I strive to create a supportive environment where mistakes are viewed as opportunities for growth and where students feel safe to take risks. My goal is to help learners strengthen skills, build confidence, and develop into independent thinkers who are prepared to face challenges with resilience. At the heart of my work is the commitment to building genuine relationships, listening to each student’s needs, celebrating their progress, and tailoring my support so they feel both respected and motivated. By combining high expectations with compassion, I aim to empower students not only to succeed academically but also to believe in their own abilities.
Teacher Specialization
My teaching specialization is in literacy instruction and intervention, with over ten years of experience supporting students in grades K through 8. I have worked with learners both in person and virtually, helping them strengthen reading skills, gain confidence, and feel more successful in the classroom. I hold a BA in English and a Master’s in Elementary Education, and my focus has always been making lessons approachable and meaningful for each student. Whether I’m working with struggling readers, English language learners, or students looking for extra enrichment, I tailor my approach to meet their needs. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging space where every child can grow at their own pace and begin to see themselves as capable, confident learners.
