Bio
My name is Melissa. I live in a small town in Wisconsin. My goal as a tutor is to bring a child from where they are at the beginning of our lessons as far as I can by the time our lessons have ended. I believe that every child can learn in a given period of time. I want to get to know my students and I want them to get to know me. I will use assessment information and information that I gain by getting to know the students to help them reach their educational goals.
Teacher Specialization
I graduated with an associate's degree in early childhood education and a bachelors in Elementary Education. I have spent 16 years in a brick-and-mortar school setting as a third-grade teacher in a small mid-west town. I have spent the past 6 years as a virtual tutor. I have taught virtual reading and math lessons for children from the ages of 4-12. I have taught 1 on 1 classes as well as classes with up to 4 students. I have taught children from all around the world.
