Bio
My name is Melissa and my favorite part of teaching is seeing the ‘lightbulb’ moment when a student understands a concept. My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering understanding and inspiring a love for learning. My tutoring sessions include positive praise, games, movement, interactive practice, and lots of fun! I have over 17 years of teaching experience in private, public, and online school. I love to learn new things and am a life-long learner myself. My passion for teaching and learning began with my grandmother who taught in a one-room schoolhouse! Outside of class, I enjoy spending time in nature and quilting.
