Bio
Hello! I’m so glad you’re here! I enjoy helping students who learn differently or just need things explained in a way that truly makes sense. Not every student learns the same way—and that’s not a weakness, it’s simply where we begin. I want to break things down into manageable steps and teach in a way that helps you really understand and feel more confident. If you’ve ever felt frustrated, struggled with reading, or started to believe you’re “just not good at school,” I want to work with you to help change that narrative. I want you to feel capable, successful, and confident in your learning. In our sessions, we’ll practice together and build the skills you need to succeed on your own. I believe the best learning starts with building positive relationships so you feel supported, capable, and understood. When you start to experience success, your confidence grows—and that’s where real learning begins. I’m excited to work with you and help you feel more confident and successful in schoo
Teacher Specialization
I spent 26 years working primarily with students in grades 6–8, supporting learners with learning difficulties, ADHD, and other special needs. I taught in general education as an inclusion teacher and have experience across both special education and general education settings. Over the course of my career, I served as a special educator for 15 years, worked in general education for 6 years, and spent 5 years as an ARD Facilitator and Campus Liaison. I have 1 year of hybrid in person and online teaching experience. I hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education and am a National Board Certified Special Education Teacher. This is my first year working with K12 Tutoring, and I am excited to help you feel confident and successful in school.
