Bio
Hello, friends. I firmly believe that learning and fun can happen simultaneously. I began my career as a project-based learning teacher with loads of hands-on experiences, and now I teach in a more traditional classroom, which has equipped me to support many types of learners. As a teacher, I tend to lead with caring and kindness. I like to maintain high expectations while providing high levels of support.
Teacher Specialization
I have been in the classroom in some capacity since 2011. Having taught in after-school programs, PBL classrooms, gifted classrooms, and special education classrooms, I can adjust my instruction to meet the needs of many students. I am my best teaching self when the students I'm supporting can self-advocate for their educational needs. I have a master's degree in teaching and learning, and I am currently pursuing my second master's degree in urban education.
