Bio
I am a Florida-certified English Language Arts educator specializing in helping middle and high school students strengthen reading comprehension, academic writing, and critical thinking skills. I hold a B.A. in English Literature from Cleveland State University with additional study in bioethics and creative writing, which informs my ability to guide students through complex texts and analytical writing. My teaching philosophy emphasizes rigorous, personalized instruction that builds both skill and confidence. As a high school English instructor, I helped students improve FAST assessment scores by over 25 points, with several reaching the 90th percentile in reading performance. I provide targeted support in essay writing, grammar, literary analysis, and test preparation, while adapting instruction for diverse learners, including students with IEP and 504 accommodations.
