Hello! My name is Ms. Pitter. I reside in sunny South Florida. I am a cat mom to an adorable Russian blue who is 4 years old and enjoys his treats! I am passionate about helping students grow academically while building confidence in their abilities. My educational philosophy is that every student can succeed when they are supported, encouraged, and given clear, structured guidance. I believe learning should be engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs so they can truly understand their work. My goal as a tutor is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and developing skills. I strive to help students strengthen their reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking skills while also building strong study habits and independence. I build relationships with students by being patient, funny, and encouraging. I make time to get to know my students and ensure they feel welcomed.

I have a Masters degree in Education and I am a certified middle school educator with over 20 years of experience teaching Social Studies, English Language Arts, Writing, Personal Finance and supporting students in virtual learning environments. I specialize in helping students build confidence, improve comprehension, and master key concepts through clear explanations and engaging, technology infused activities, and student-friendly strategies. My approach focuses on meeting students where they are, breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, and creating a supportive space where they feel comfortable asking questions. I am passionate about helping students succeed academically by improving study habits, test taking strategies, and critical thinking skills that well help them in class and beyond the classroom.
