Bio
My name is Nicola Johnson and I always wanted to be a teacher since the age of 5! My philosophy for teaching aligns with William Arthur Ward's quote, "The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires". I want to inspire every student that I come across to let them know they are capable of greatness and it all starts with learning. As your tutor, I will definitely be fully engaged with your scholar so that they can be their best selves and be able to learn the necessary material to master the standards. In doing so, I will be extremely patient and do it with a warm smile.
Teacher Specialization
I have been an educator for the last 13 years. I have taught grades kindergarten, second, third, 4th and 5th grades. I have taught all subjects. I have a Bachelor's degree in English, and my masters degree is in Childhood Education. I have done virtual tutoring for the last 10 years. I am able to have successful learners because of my ability to be patient knowing that every child can learn.
