Bio

Hello, buenos dias, aloha, ciaoo! I am a world traveler and a devoted and enthusiastic educator who has taught students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, coming from diverse backgrounds around the globe, in various educational settings. I even opened a private bilingual K-12th school in Costa Rica! I apply real world and student-centered teaching approaches to foster and guide my students academically, socially, psychologically and emotionally. Through clear instruction, strong subject knowledge, effective communication and patience, I have had the privilege of supporting and inspiring students throughout their educational journey. I provide a personalized learning experience by adapting lessons to each individual's learning style, prior knowledge, ability and rate while encouraging and challenging each student to achieve his or her academic goals. As a result, identity of one's strengths, areas to develop and confidence are identified, and they take the wheel of their own learning.

Teacher Specialization

I have had the privilege of teaching and tutoring students in public, private and homeschool settings in English, Spanish, Math, Science and Social Science since 2004. My students have ranged from grades Kindergarten through high school, with a large extent supporting English Language Learners. In my experience, the greatest reward is witnessing and being part of each student's excelled personal and academic growth and achievements through one on one and small group support.
