Bio
Hi! I’m Mrs. Williams, a certified Texas educator with a passion for helping students grow as readers, writers, and confident learners. I am certified in ELAR 4–8 and ESL. Some of my proudest moments have been helping struggling readers progress from difficulty passing STAAR to reaching Meets and Masters and watching students who once struggled to enjoy reading discover books they genuinely love. I believe every student is capable of growth, and past struggles should never determine what they believe they can achieve. My approach begins with meeting students where they are, identifying their needs, and creating a space where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Together, we will build skills, work through challenges, and celebrate progress. My goal is for students to leave our sessions stronger academically, more independent, and confident in their ability to succeed.
Teacher Specialization
I have five years of experience in education and hold a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. My teaching journey has included 1st grade, 5th grade ELAR and Social Studies, 6th grade Reading Language Arts, and 7th grade ELAR. These roles have given me a strong background in reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and STAAR preparation. My experience includes targeted intervention, one-on-one and small-group instruction, identifying skill gaps, and differentiating lessons to meet student needs. I enjoy breaking challenging concepts into manageable steps and making learning meaningful and interactive. I also have experience supporting students through online learning platforms and regularly use Google Classroom and other digital tools. I enjoy bringing interactive and hands-on learning into a virtual setting to keep students engaged and actively involved.
