Bio
I am originally from a small town in Louisiana but moved to Colorado to enjoy mountain living. I love learning and believe in the power of education. I am eager to help any child appreciate their strengths and challenge their weaknesses. I am currently furthering my own education, seeking a Doctorate in Education. I focus on supporting students with their math skills, but I also love tutoring reading and science. I have been in education for 10 years and value all learners.
Teacher Specialization
I began my teaching career as a 5th-grade science teacher and quickly moved into an instructional role for other 5th-grade science teachers. I also helped our campus with math and reading intervention, which gave me the courage to start teaching math when I moved to Colorado. After spending more time in public schools, I recognized the need for change, so I now focus on helping students 5th-10th individually with their math work, test-taking strategies, and confidence.
