Bio
Hi students and family, my name is Ms. Randee Kirby. I am from East Tennessee and have been working in elementary education for almost 20 years. My personal educational philosophy is that all students enjoy learning and growing in an educational setting that nurtures, matures, and guides each student to achieve their personal best. My goals as a K12 tutor are to establish happy student and teacher relationships, help students achieve their personal best through teacher guided instruction, and inspire students to enjoy a life that is filled with ongoing learning. I will help establish relationships with each student by being proactive, easy to communicate with, and offering visually guided teacher instruction and guidance. I look forward to working with a variety of learners and partnering with families.
Teacher Specialization
I have been a licensed TN teacher for grades K-6th since 2011 and a PreK teacher (2007-present). My education is a Bachelor of Arts Degree in elementary education from Carson Newman University and a Master's of Education Degree from Lincoln Memorial University. Both universities are located in the beautiful heart of East TN. In the past I have stayed after school to help tutor students in all elementary and middle grade subjects. Over the past years, I have taught PreK, Kindergarten, 2nd grade, & 5/6th grade (all subjects). I have also worked as VIPKid tutor and helped ESL learners through online education. During covid I worked solely online with my then 2nd grade classroom for a year. I have a true passion to help each student do their very personal best in all subjects. Making tutoring personal and exciting has always been a goal of mine. Life and learning are meant to be engaging and enjoyable. I love to see student's smile! :)
