Bio

Hi! Let me start by saying how excited I am to work with you throughout the tutoring process! I currently live in Michigan, but I divide my time between the Great Lakes and Colorado's Rocky Mountains. I have four terrific adult children and six grandchildren who never cease to amaze me! This is my 14th year teaching. I don't look at teaching as a job; it is my passion! Every day, I wake up excited that I get to do what I love. My goal is to empower students through education and to pass on a love of learning. I strive to create a positive, supportive atmosphere where all students feel safe to step outside of their comfort zones and actively engage in the learning process. Everyone has their own learning style, and by creating our lessons to fit individual needs, we can make learning both effective and fun!

Teacher Specialization

I currently teach English 12 as an online educator. With experience in both traditional and nontraditional learning environments, including adult education, I bring a flexible and student-centered approach to the virtual classroom. Over the years, I've taught a wide range of middle and high school courses, including English, History, Senior Seminar, Social Studies, and GED Prep. Creating meaningful learning experiences that empower students at every stage of their educational journey is at the heart of my approach.
