Bio
I love learning new things and seeing my students learn and grow. I create a safe environment for learning by building positive relationships with students. When learning, we need to connect new concepts and information to what we already know. During each tutoring session, I want students to gain confidence in their ability to learn. I enjoy traveling and have visited all seven continents. I have also taught overseas and dream of living on a farm.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught all subjects in the elementary grades for 8 years and I taught middle school Language Arts, History, and Math for 3 years. I earned my bachelor's degree at Cedarville University and my graduate degrees are in Curriculum and Instruction from Grace College and Andrews University. I am very interested in the process of learning and make sure I use this knowledge when tutoring so students not only learn new things, but they also learn how to learn and acquire new information.
