Bio
Hi, I'm Rosy! I believe students learn best when instruction is clear, individualized, and sparks curiosity. I focus on meeting students where they are, building strong foundations, and providing meaningful feedback that helps them understand their progress and celebrate their growth. My goal is to strengthen academic skills while nurturing confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking helping students become independent learners, not just complete assignments. I prioritize building positive, supportive relationships and creating an inclusive space where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and explore new ideas. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, and enjoying time with family. I became a tutor because I love helping students recognize their strengths and rediscover the joy of learning.
Teacher Specialization
I have 17 years of experience working with elementary and middle school students in reading, writing, and math. I've supported a wide range of learners through one-on-one tutoring, small groups, and classroom instruction, focusing on clear teaching, strong foundational skills, and effective study habits. As a district-level curriculum specialist for 2 years, I developed expertise in math, science, and gifted education. I also served 2 years as a site academic coach, collaborating with reading specialists and school psychologists to close learning gaps for struggling students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
