Bio
Hello! I am Mrs. Bowers, I specialize in helping students build both academic skills and confidence. My teaching philosophy is simple: students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and capable. I believe in meeting each student where they are, identifying how they learn best, and adapting my instruction to help them make meaningful progress. I strive to make learning engaging and encouraging while maintaining high expectations. I love celebrating small wins and helping students realize that they are capable of more than they may think. My goal is for every student to leave our sessions feeling more confident, motivated, and equipped to succeed.
Teacher Specialization
I have 6 years of teaching experience, specializing in elementary education, particularly ELA, reading, writing, science and math for grades K–6. I am certified in early childhood education - 6th grade and I have experience working with students at a wide range of academic levels. This includes students who need additional support as well as those who benefit from enrichment and greater academic challenges. I am also ESL certified and G/T certified and have experience adapting instruction for students with diverse learning needs. I’m especially skilled at breaking complex concepts into manageable steps, strengthening foundational skills, and providing targeted support to help students reach their academic goals.
