Hey, there! I'm Ms. Sarah. I have loved writing and reading since I was very young. It is so exciting to be able to discover new perspectives and ways of living through reading and sharing stories. I know that it can sometimes be difficult to set pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard!), but I promise that you can do it. We all have an inherent curiosity about the world around us and we all have some kind of story to tell and your voices matter. Whether you're working on a persuasive essay or sharing what you did over the summer, I can support you in finding the words to express yourself. And if you're reading something that you think you don't understand, I guarantee that through some deep questioning and a bit of humor, I can help you to see things more clearly. I am excited to walk this part of your academic journey with you and I’m excited for you to uncover all you already know. Let’s go explore!
Teacher Specialization
I have a Bachelor's in Creative Writing and a Master's in Teaching. I also carry a copyediting certification. I homeschooled my son who has learning disabilities for six years and worked as paraeducator at the middle school for four years. Since graduating, I have been a short- and long-term substitute for all grades with an emphasis on middle and high school while working on various personal projects. I have also taught two summers of middle school English Language Arts.
