Bio
Hello! My name is Shadieh Hasan, and I am excited to be your Stride tutor. One of my goals as an educator is to make English/Language Arts exciting and relevant to my students by bringing literature to life. I want my students to pick up that novel, short story or article and not want to put it down. I enjoy bringing English/Language Arts to life by developing lessons that require students to think outside the box and ask thought provoking questions that make them want to keep reading and learning. I want my students to have fun while learning! As a mom to two, I know each student has their own learning style. I will work my best to get to know my student and what best works for them. Lesson's will be diverse, interactive and fun. Most importantly, lessons/tutoring sessions will be molded to my student's needs and style.
Teacher Specialization
7 years of certified teaching in public education for middle school and high school grade levels I have experience teaching 7th, 8th and 9th grade English classes, but I enjoy working with all ages. I have a Bachelors of Arts in English from The University of Mary Washington. The University of Mary Washington is also where I completed a fantastic education program, with honors. I hold a teaching certificate in the states of North Carolina, Maryland and Missouri. I can't wait to work with you!
