Bio
**Shari is an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated math tutor.** Whether my students are struggling with foundational concepts or aiming to master advanced topics, I am dedicated to helping them build a strong mathematical foundation and reach their goals. I am passionate about equipping my students with exam prep strategies and providing techniques that enable them to achieve and succeed in their math classes and on standardized tests. I provide targeted instruction to address the specific learning challenges my students face. I strive to create a learning environment where my students are both comfortable and confident. I am a self-proclaimed math nerd, and my enthusiasm for the subject is contagious. I also enjoy practicing Taekwondo and reading Science Fiction.
Teacher Specialization
I am a certified math teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring middle-grades through college-level mathematics, including AP Statistics and AP Calculus. I have a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech and a M.A.T. in Secondary Mathematics Education from Emory University. With my engineering background and two decades of teaching experience, I bring a wealth of expertise to my tutoring sessions.
